This program allows your company to sponsor a project. The project will be in the best interest of the Nurse Practitioner community.
NP Central is currently seeking project sponsorship for the following projects:
- NP Location Service - NP Central has begun the development of the Nurse Practitioner Location Service. This is a free service to both the consumer and the Nurse Practitioner. The sole purpose of the Nurse Practitioner Location Service is to have a centralized location for the consumer to find a Nurse Practitioner. Currently, Nurse Practitioners are the best-kept secret in the health care profession. With over 90,000 Nurse Practitioners in the United States, they are sometime impossible to reach. Many state organizations will not release any information to the public to help them find a nurse practitioner for their health care. Most Nurse Practitioner are not listed in the local phone books, nor do they have appropriate the appropriate budget to market themselves adequately. The NP Location service is a subset of the National Nurse Practitioner Directory, NP Central's ultimate search for Nurse Practitioners and NP clinics. We have a large directory that includes Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Practitioner clinics through out the country. You can search through our directory by entering the Nurse Practitioner's name or by selecting the state, specialty, zip code, or professional certification. Funding is requested in order to help market NP to the consumer as well as gather information and maintain the dataset.
- The Email List Project - NPInfo, NPClinical, NPJobs and the NPStudents automated Email services that provide valuable information to nurse practitioners concerning employment, education, legislative, and common topics could use funding to help maintain and promote. These lists are monitored and maintained daily in order to keep email addressees current and the subject matter appropriate to each list.
- FYI - Clinical, weekly National Ezine Newsletter that provides medical, procedural and drug information as well as new product releases and a little bit of humor. FYI-Clinical current is released to over 1000 Nurse Practitioner directly as well as posted on the NP Central website. FYI-Clinical's is also seeking writing contributors.
- The National Nurse Practitioner Salary Database - The Salary Database was created in 1994 and supplies Nurse Practitioner with national averages of salaries. This is an extremely important tool to help Nurse Practitioners succeed. Salary request forms must be distributed, collected and entered into the Salary Database.
